CIW Certification Exam History
The Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) exam, also called the CIW Web Foundations Associate exam, was first available soon after May 1999 via www.ciwcertified.com. Since that time, the CIW certification program has emerged as one of the top recognized industry-standard job role certifications for Internet technologies.

CIW Certification Exam Overview
The Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) exam validates the basic hands-on skills and knowledge that a professional is expected to understand and use. Foundational skills include basic knowledge of Internet technologies, network infrastructure, web authoring using XHTML, and job skills such as project management.

The CIW Web Foundations Associate certification is ideal for entry-level webmasters. This prerequisite certification is also required for all levels of specialization in the CIW program. CIW Associates have mastered the common core of Internet knowledge and apply these foundational skills to further specialization.

The exam (Exam ID: 1D0-610) contains 90 questions. Examinees have 90 minutes to complete the exam. To pass this exam, students must achieve a total score of 63.3% or greater.
